REPORT: Georgia Will Be Down a Tight End for the Rest of Spring Practice

Georgia just put on pads for the first time on Saturday and that was when they suffered the first injury of Spring. According to reports, freshman tight end Pearce Spurlin sustained a broken collar bone on Saturday and had surgery earlier this week.

The early responses are that Spurlin will be out for two-three months putting his return date somewhere around mid-June. That leaves Georgia’s tight end room with Brock Bowers, Oscar Delp, and Lawson Lukcie. Spurlin reportedly put together two good practices before he sustained the injury, so a tough blow for him. The good news is that he will make a full recovery from it.

Updated Spring Injury Report:

Marvin Jones - OUT (Shoulder)

Joshua Miller - OUT

Andrew Paul - LIMITED (ACL)

Dan Jackson - LIMITED (Foot)

Jalon Walker - OUT (Shoulder)

Pearce Spurlin - OUT (Collarbone)
