A Possible Flip Target Making His Way to Athens This Weekend

Kirby Smart pays a visit to a current Florida Gator commit

Coming off another national championship run, Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are carrying a lot of recruiting momentum. Smart is looking to capitalize on some of that momentum on Florida RB Commit Chauncey Bowens.

On Wednesday Kirby Smart landed at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach Florida to see four-start RB Chauncey Bowens. Bowens got the UGA offer in early December of 2022 and already started to plan a visit. Kirby Smart flew in to speak with Bowens about a potential visit this weekend. Whatever Smart ended up telling Bowens must have worked, because he has scheduled an unofficial visit to Athens for this weekend.

It isn’t the longest list of recruits in Athens this weekend, but here are some of the names that we expect to be in Athens.

  • Chauncey Bowens (four-star RB, 5’11, 219)

  • Josiah Brown (four-star WR, 6’0, 170)

  • Aaron Butler (four-star WR, 6’1, 170)
