Georgia Picks up Their Second Straight SEC Win Against the LSU Tigers

On Tuesday the Bulldogs picked up their 6th SEC win to improve to 16-10 (6-7) overall after a 65-63 win over the LSU Tigers in Athens. The Bulldogs and Tigers played each other close the entire game with neither team really getting a big lead. LSU had a ten-point lead in the first half, but even at that time it never felt like they had the game in complete control. In the second half, Georgia came out and looked much better on the offensive side. Georgia started to run their offense through Bralen Bridges and that opened up some outside shots that ultimately lead to a last-second shot opportunity for Justin Hill who made a crazy layup with about 4 seconds left.

Georgia got some big-time shots from Jabri Abdur Rahim late in that game when he hit two big threes to stretch the lead for the Dawgs. Terry Roberts had an off night from the line which allowed the Tigers to stay in the game late but the slack from the line was picked up by Bralen Bridges who nailed all 5 of his free throw attempts while scoring 13 points. This Bulldogs team has played some of its best ball over the past few games and with the last two wins being against some SEC opponents who have historically given the Dawgs issues things are looking up for this Bulldogs basketball program with Mike White at the helm.
