Four-Star WR Aaron Butler Trims His List to Five, Announces Commitment Timeline

On Wednesday one of the top athletes in the Country Aaron Butler announced his top five schools which consisted of Georgia, Alabama, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington.

Butler is being recruited as a wide receiver by all of these schools. He said that he plans to commit now in late April or early May. His original plan was to commit in July on his birthday.

He has a few visits scheduled and a few others in the works. A Georgia official visit is set for April 14th. He is trying to get that Alabama official visit set for late April right before his commitment. Georgia has been recruiting him very hard ever since he backed off his verbal pledge to USC. He has said that he has a great relationship with Coach Mcclendon, Coach Fran Brown, and Coach David Hill. He loves the talent they have in that defensive back group, so he knows he is going to get better.

At Alabama, he has developed a good relationship with Coach Wiggins (WR Coach). He recently said in an interview with 247 Sports that Alabama has done a really good job at not only recruiting him but also recruiting his family. Nick Saban also recruited Aaron’s father during his playing days.

It is going to be a busy next few weeks before Butler’s decision. Georgia and Alabama seem to be the two schools with the most momentum right now. Both will receive visits and both will have one final opportunity to try and close on one of the nation’s top athletes in the country.
