Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff Talk About the Competition at Quarterback
Entering Spring this year, Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff knew they would be competing for the starting job. On Tuesday evening after practice, both of them spoke to the media and answer some questions.
Carson Beck opened by talking about the constant competition at UGA. “Since I’ve been here, it’s been constant competition since my freshman year.” Heis no stranger to competition and that could be very valuable to him during this battle. Beck also added that “every position has competition. I think that brings the best out of all of us.” He said that's what the University of Georgia is, it’s about being the best player.
Brock Vandagriff was asked about how the competition is going for him and what’s different this year as opposed to last year. "It's just what you come here to do. I mean, you come to UGA for competition,” Vandagriff said. He added that Coach Smart picks the player that gives Georgia the best chance to win.
Both of them will continue to get chances to show themselves off the next week or so and then the first time fans can see them in action during G-Day on April 15th.
